Thanks MA ! Skunk cabbage it one of the first wild plants to come up in
spring over here. These things give off heat and will even melt snow
around it.

... they have a yellow flower that sort of resembles a lilly...and as the name suggests they stink too! Very unpleasant and strong odour!
You'll smell skunk cabbage before you see it! :yuck:
