This is an actual type of fungus that infects our shrubs and trees in the city called "Black Knot". I've also seen it referred to as "poo on a stick" :yuck: but I assure you it is a genuine fungus!

Sorry ... been flat processing over 1000 images this week after an event shoot. Not much time.

I'm going with poo on a stick! It's looks like the pigs really do fly around your part of the world! :eek:
