I have been a lover of photography for as long as I can remember. Watching my Uncle process and develop prints in his bathroom, at about age three, was likely what started my interest. He gave me my first SLR, as well, at age 16. It is a Pentax S1. I still have it and still use it on occasion, but mainly for Infrared, now.
Little things catch my eye, and I take pictures of them..maybe to show other people what they missed by not taking the time to look at the little things....maybe just because the little things are the most important to me...or maybe just because I am short and easily see the little things from my view plane.
I have no favorite subject or theme to shoot...just whatever catches my eye at the time. I work with a group of professional dog handlers and do work for their clients, but mostly I do photography just for me.
We have a horse, two dogs, and a cat. My daughter is starting to get the photography bug, as well, so it is something we will hopefully be able to share for many years to come. She has a great eye. I just gave her a digital SLR (Canon xT) as a starter camera. She can share my lenses, that way.
