Mourning Glory

I had to downsize this image, which was already cropped pretty heavily from a 10mp camera, to 60% quality and 600x400 to get it down to about 120kb to post here, that seems pretty drastic. What are you guys doing?

I put my dpi to 72 then I use the Save Image for Web in photoshop. Cute photo.

just an FYI - the limit is 200K not 120 k.

I like this photo! Not sure what exactly appeals. I think it's the feeling that she is surrounded by the rock wall perhaps.
Why is it called Morning Glory? Is that the name of the flowers?

Thanks MA, that means a lot coming from you. I kinda just quickly named it mourning glory because we were visiting the grave of her grandfather. I normally wouldn't be so insensitive to look at this as a photo opportunity but he passed many years ago, she is my wife, and gave me permission- even tried to look a little sad for me. I just liked the rock wall, the drab colours (and mood) but the colour of the flower that stands out. If I would have had an old brown robe, and a couple cotton balls to wipe off all her make-up, I could have done better.

Oh 'mourning' ... not 'morning' !!! I should read a bit more closely huh!

I think the perspective is also appealing to me. It almost feels like if she lost her footing she would fall right in my lap! I'd give her back to you of course :) I already have one ... and one is definitely enough! ;)

I like not seeing what she is looking at also. This has created a nice interest for me here.

So it is 200K? I read here (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/showthread.php?t=165) that it was 100k. Have i missunderstood?

darn stickies. Just updated it a bit now but it's still not perfect. But 200k it is - everywhere. I'll likely up it again at some point. Back to the thread....:)
