Hi everyone, I'm Kurt in Vancouver. I got bitten by the shutterbug a few months ago and seem to have a preference for shooting on film. Prior to that bite I had two slrs, but didn't have a clue about their use. One I got for five bucks at a yard sale, I bought it cause everybody ought to have a camera, right? The other, a Canon AE-1 was given to me by a neighbour. I didn't use either until I went on holidays last year, when I took the Canon EF-M to Montreal and pointed and shot a few times. It must have been on AE of some sort, cause most of them turned out ok, although I continuously confused the zoom with the focus ring. I got a Pentax Auto 110 a few months back, for $4.30, from a binner, aka dumpster diver. In researching the model and finding that some people quite liked them, I got hooked but, mostly started to build up a Canon FD system with lenses and another AE-1 body, bought for its, lenses, filters, sixteen rolls of film, and yes the possibility of spare parts. Then I added a T90 and most recently, a Mamiya RB67. I took a class, and have been taking lots of pics. I'll get some developed and scanned soon and put them up. The RB67 came yesterday and I spent a bit of time with it, and its' owner's manual, very confusing at first, but I figure most of it out with some help from the staff at Beau Photo, here in town. Tonight I took some shots of fireplugs, more of those will follow. Long-winded so adieux
