I saw this guy while sitting under my bridge as he was going under the water for some kind of food which he'd come to the surface and eat. He was too far away and the sun was right behind him. I decided I'd be better off up river more so I grabbed my bag and headed out. It took me no more than five minutes to position myself at what would have been the perfect angle but he was gone. I was Scratched and bleeding from thorns and brambles and one leg was totally soaked from falling off the river bank on a very narrow pass. So I repeated this torture and got back to the bridge only to find this little monkey had gone the opposite direction during my move. Still couldn't get a good shot but I know where he lives now! I think it's a River Otter if there is such a thing.
