I found this while trying to find any online test results anywhere which determine secondhand smoke is a killer. I'm not just talking medical opinion or hearsay but quantified results showing actual research data. I can find nothing!
I did however stumble upon this article which if true would put a whole new spin on our friend "The cigarette" I'm one of those people who suspects cancer of all forms is a direct result of our activities, messin where we shouldn't be messin :)

I am no scientist but from the experience of smoking for 15 years and quiting for the last two..the way I breath now makes me know that smoking wasn't good for my body.

Anything that had me coughing in the morning, day and night, left me breathless after a 5 min walk couldn't be good.

I feel better and smell better :p

I also know that if I only had a week to live..I'd go buy a pack of smokes. But until that time..nope.

As a smoker myself I'm in agreement with the downsides of the act that's why I roll my own. If I smoke the filtered ones I hack and can't breath. But I sure can't find a link to any info re second hand smoke. I've got e-mails out to a whole bunch of medical departments asking for this material but so far nothing. All I can get my hands on is the opinions of people like "The Surgeon General" who must have seen the results of this research. I just want the truth Damn It!!! :D

He pissed me off with the drinking thing. I don't give a damn about what happens to the drinker, it's the innocent people they kill and cripple each year. By cripple I don't only mean the people they hit with their automobiles, look at the kids and spouses that suffer from their activity. I like a nice wine, fine Scotch, etc., but I control it and don't let it control me. It is too bad some people can't grow up and take responsibility for their actions. How can you tell I've seen the results of a drunk driver and then watched him get off on a technicality.

Smokers, do what you want, but keep it to yourself I don't like the smell of the crap.

Next soap box please:twocents:

As I said I smoke but I go out of my way to make sure I'm away from other people as much as possible. When I've had my puff, I chew up a fisherman's friend or eat one of those Listerine plastic sheet thingies. Drunk driving is another matter sort of like pouring a five gallon drum of gasoline on everything around you and then lighting up. When I was 18 there was no place it was not cool to smoke, I remember being in the grocery store and watching some old lady leaning over the green peppers with a smoke in her mouth when the long ash fell right in the produce. I'm fine with smoking being confined to outside away from people, air vents and doors cos I do that out of respect anyway, just don't get the world pissed off at me for ruining their heath if it's not true is all I ask, and so far I'm finding more evidence to support that's the case.
