Lemony Limes

Believe or not these are actually limes. They are from my back garden which rarely get visited. My kids were down there last week and picked dozens of these extremely ripe limes. After I cut them for juicing I decided to set up a little photo shoot.

They certainly don't look like limes (colour-wise) but they make a nice photo! Nice capture.

Nice shot Antz! But yes these looks like lemons rather than limes :P I like the technique you have used on this one.

Sorry, I'm getting nothing from this; the colour treatment just doesn't seem appropriate to the subject matter. What about a macro/close-up so that you really get to see the texture of the fruit's surface?

I love the contrast of colour and how the focal SC'd lime Pops right off the page...nicely done AntZ!
Only thing I might possibly suggest is a slight contrast boost (IMO) to give the other B&W limes a bit more oomph(!) also!

I think it would be better if the whole lime was in focus, the blur on the front edge makes it hard to look at.

Very tasty - I like the treatment. Now I am dreaming of a summer drink: You have to mix a bit lime juice with ginger ale plus some brown sugar, ice cubes and a slice of lime - there your summer drink is complete :-).

I think the front edge blur is caused by some juice. I have shots at f/14 which are the same. A bit unfortunate, but no chance of a reshoot as these limes are now juice.:D
