Hey Marko,

Great show! I started listening about a month ago, I had a suggestion for a show, studio lighting. It would be great to see your perspective on what kinds of lighting equipment to invest in when you are just starting out and all the different types of lighting etc. There is so much info and equipment out there to go through, I am mainly interested in portrait lighting.

Keep up the good work!

Hey thanks for the compliments Samirah, Much appreciated!

That's a very good suggestion and it's my pleasure to do a podcast on it. I may well be able to do it within the next 2 weeks.

I like that you've focused the question on what to invest in when you are just starting out...since studio lighting is an ENOURMOUS topic that can be covered by a 500 page textbook.

I should be able to release this in about 2-3 weeks. If you have any questions beforehand feel free email me directly or private message.

Thanks!

Marko

Sounds good Marko, look forward to listening and learning. BTW your sound quality is really good, very clear and audible. You have a good voice to keep your audiences attention. :)

I just listened to this podcast today, great show. It was very informative, mostly what you suggested was what I was thinking of. Alien Bees are quite affordable and look pretty good, minus the crazy colours. I don't know if people within the industry would take you seriously with their equipment. I've been checking out B&H, most likely will go with a 3 light system, makes the most sense and most kits come with that.

You're right there is a lot to cover when it comes to lighting, I'll check out that strobist site that you were referring to. I have a couple of flashes, I'm going to experiment and see how that goes.

Thanks so much!
