I was messing around with my "nifty fifty' Canon 50mm f/1.8 playing with shallow DOF. These Paper Daises are like weeds, but they are actually quite detailed and geometrical. I was actually quite drawn to the "not quite open" flower.

I think one of my next purchases will be either of the Canon macro extension tubes. Does anyone own one of these? Is there a trade off between the magnification of 25 over the 12 in say sharpness or aperture? I beleive they can be stacked, so maybe I should get one of each:)

Thanks MA.
From memory(since we are going back a little way)there was not much "treatment" just shallow DOF. These flowers are quite pretty for a weed.

It is a lovely photo. Hard to believe we missed so many. I've been on the forums almost every day. I guess it's just hard to see them all.

LOL...those are weeds in Aus? In Canada we pay good money to buy these flowers and proudly display them in our gardens every summer! We call them straw flowers!

There have been some good images go relatively unseen. I even realised I missed replies to my own threads. Maybe finding these missed gems could be made easier to find. It could be something to do when things are a bit quiet.
