Hello everyone!

Been into photography for many years, but only seriously the past year. I'm currently taking the NYIP course and have learned a ton from that, books, podcasts, meetup group workshops, etc. I've already gotten into shooting headshots, family photos, and have a wedding lined up for October.

I've also been shooting models trying to build a portfolio to get into some editorial work. I've used my studio, which was originally for my oil painting, for model shoots. Just got some muslin and a few flashes, and learned how to use them!... and am having a great time doing it all. Have recently started trying some HDR stuff and loving that too.

A friend of mine told me about this site recently. I've downloaded all the past podcasts, have listened to about half and have to thank Marko for doing them! Great stuff and I enjoy listening.

On my flickr page you'll find many Firefighter related shots as I'm really into that, and on a local hiring list also. So, it's definitely one of my favorite things to photograph. Also model shots, and of course many, many photos of my favorite subject... my dog!

I hope to contribute here on the forums often.

Matt

Welcome to the forum, Matt! Speaking of models, have you signed up with Model Mayhem? It is a neat place to make sessions happen and get your port filled!

Yup, sure do. My Mayhem #1255431. It's a great site for that kind of stuff. Have found a few models for shoots through that site. Lots will TFP, or TF*.. (trade for prints, or CD, etc) I'm still doing the free version for now.
