I was reading this portrait set up for children last night and your photo reminds me of the sort of set up they used - but yours was outside- theirs in a studio. It is so sweet and cute. I just have a problem with using live ducklings as props though. :(

Yeah, kudos on the technique but it's also a great shot to begin with- I'm a sucker for an old tricycle. Very nice capture and treatment!
