It was a quiet morning by Fish Creek in Calgary. Nothing interesting but some flighty deer, Greg Nuspel and this guy. Nice to see you again Greg! That is two Photography.ca members I have run into in as many weeks.

Hey Casil I think I just missed you this morning. Two people were going over the hill west of the parking lot when I pulled in. Did you see the deer down there? Thanks for the ID on the sandpiper. I thought it was a Lessor Yellowlegs but you are absolutly right.

Wow I just think that's so cool these member meetups.

My Montreal offer still stands. Any member that wants to meetup for a beer/coffee in Montreal; It's SO my pleasure and it's my treat.

In terms of this shot; the composition here is excellent, though the image as a whole is suffering from sharpness problems. IF the pre-uploaded filesize was greater than 250 K...that's the reason.

It is cool to meet other members Marco.

The sharpness issue is operator error. My Sigma 150-500 needs lots of light and it was a little overcast. I was shooting at 500mm at 1/250. Here is the rest of the story:

# Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/250 second ===> 0.004 second
# Lens F-Number / F-Stop = 63/10 ===> ƒ/6.3
# ISO Speed Ratings = 640
# Original Date/Time = 2009:09:05 08:10:32
# Shutter Speed Value (APEX) = 7965784/1000000
Shutter Speed (Exposure Time) = 1/250 second
# Aperture Value (APEX) = 5310704/1000000
Aperture = ƒ/6.3
# Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
# Focal Length = 500/1 mm ===> 500 mm

LOL! I did see you! You were going over the top by the lot! I did see the deer...there were 2 of them: a doe and 2 fawns. We were down at the bottom but they were kind of skittish and it was still pretty dar...
I wondered actually if that might have been you!
