I keep trying to get this shot right but as yet have not. Mount Baker is an ice clad Volcano roughly 150 miles southeast of Vancouver in the state of Washington USA. It stands almost eleven thousand feet high.

This was certainly a good attempt. I'm thinking you are looking for a little more definition around the mountain-scape. Not knowing anything about that area is there a problem with smog or humidity or something?

Maybe this would help: http://www.cleardarksky.com/csk/prov/Washington_charts.html

This might tell you when there is an expected clear night/day for shootin'.

Wow ... the potential for awesome shots here is immense! Sunrise or sunset might be the go.

Thanks guys, Clear weather, late evening would be the key, I'm just never in the area at the right time. I'll get it one day :)

What struck me about this photo was the juxtaposition of the summery scene of the boat on the water with the ice capped mount. Great concept! I hope you can get it to your liking!
