Are members encouraged to critique others' shots? And how serious does one want the critiques to be? Some people like critique to be quite gentle (and nothing wrong with that) but I'm game for as picky a critique as can be rendered. What is the board standard? I would like to be sure I'm consistent.

There has not been a need for a board standard up to this point. I have a great deal of experience in critique and Marko and others have a great eye for photographic detail too. I think that we can give a very thorough critique
and I would certainly expect it from others as well to any shots that I submit.

Ok, I guess my question is, should I offer critique also? I don't know a lot, but would be willing to offer an opinion if it's wanted. If not, I'm happy to just post photos. I hate to feel like a taker without giving in return, though.

IMO you should critique when people ask for critiques and you feel there is something constructive that you can add. :)

If you don't have that much experience then of course you don't HAVE to critique. It's all good.

Thanks!

Sounds good! Then, if it's ok I'll just post a photo every once in a while?
