Here's a couple of images I took yesterday afternoon. What do you think?

Very nice! I am sure the bride will be quite happy! The dress - a total flashback from the late 70s early 80s! Is the dress the bride's moms?

IMHO, I'm not really into these. I find the poses and facial expressions of the model just don't flatter a bride. I think they are both neat concepts but with a couple of adjustments could be stellar!

Hmmm.... exposure is spot-on. In #1 it appears that the focus is on the bride and not her reflection; the eyes in the mirror appear just a tad soft. I agree that the poses don't seem ideal. As well, her expression in #2 makes me wonder if she's really happy about the whole thing.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

Thanks guys, yea the dress is her mom's, and she's not actually a bride, she's 18, a friend of mine :)

I don't agree with the exposure being quite right in shot 1. I think it's slightly over in the hair and some of the dress.

hmm, it looks fine on my screen!

I am being critical but on my screen it's definitely a frag too bright.

I see the same thing..and a bit of her hand too.

Ha! Ha! glad you said that. I did not want to seem mean by mentioning that the dress was kind of big for the model and wrinkled and she should have had her hair and make-up done.

Now that I'm at home with a 'real' monitor, I'll give you maybe 1/3 stop on her right shoulder and edge of her hair, but it's pretty darn close.

I'll match your 1/3 stop and go for 1/2 stop in the hair and 1/3 in the dress and hand! ;)

She wants critical ... she's doing an advanced course :)

I was wondering the lack of smile on the third photo for a bride.

Yea, she's a hard person to get to smile and make it look natural rather than being put on.

I too like the concept in shot 1 but not necessarily the pose.
Like T.I., I would have liked to have seen the reflection tack sharp or much softer.

The shot does seem slightly overexposed in the hair in particular.

For me the very first thing I noticed was the lack of professional wedding make-up. She has noticeable bags under her eyes. Hope that helps - Marko
