View Full Version : Brisbane in Lavender

This time of the year is Jacaranda time around Brisbane and many other areas of Aussie as well. The Jacaranda trees all bloom together and you simply can't drive more than a 100 metres/yeards without seeing at least one tree, if not many more. Every view you get from a hill as you drive along is met with bursts of lavender colouring among the green of the other trees.

Not sure I've done these beautiful trees much justice here on my quick outing this morning but here's a look ...

Well thanks Crystal. They really are nice. Especially when they lose lots of the blooms because then theres a blanket of lavender colour on the ground as well.

Very pretty! I like the closeup. The blooms look like didgtalis flowers almost.
Boo, we have a bunch of dead looking trees with frozen leaves on them now.

Very pretty! Almost like all the purple lavender trees here (well..kind of)
