Another one from my trip to Louisbourg today. It was glorious out there and could only have been better if there was a bit of sun and blue skies. Almost got a face wash getting this one. The lighthouse is very small at the base of the sloping hill.

Yes ... very nice composition here. And a really tough one for HDR due to the moving water too making this that much better.

I KNEW someone would think this is HDR ! It isn't though nor is it tone mapped. I lightened the foreground rocks to bring up a little detail as they were lost in the shadows just a bit. Everything was done in Adobe ACR and saved for the web. The colors are all natural as they were on the beach. It was just the way the clouds and sky and water were that day. I love the color and clarity that 5D throws out. I have to agree though . . it DOES look like it's HDR . . . :)

Yeah I thought it may be HDR too, but I have done picture like this without HDR-ing it! So I gave myself some doubt about your picture being HDR too!

Great shot! I love the moody feel it gives off.
