I recently had this shot printed and mounted to give to a friend. It has generated a lot of interest and positive comments, so I thought I would share it here, too.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2566/4015613686_a8dd90429d_o.jpg

make this totally b&w and it could go in the assignments thread!

I really like the shape of the trees and how they stand out against the background.

I really like this! Love the softness throughout and the pastel colours. I'm even happy with the 'bullseye' composition because it has created a beautiful and natural vignette as well.

This is quite an interesting shot Hodaka.

I like it too. What's that blue spot in the middle though. The little triangle that seems to be on the near side of the tree. Looks like lens flare?

I like this one too:highfive: and i really dig the silhouetted shapes of the branches against the sky. Those could be dodged a hint to make them even more apparent if desired.

I was thinking of that, but the shot is almost a year old!

Thanks all for the kind words: the blue triangle is lense flare, and the coloring and levels in the shot are almost exactly how it looked to the naked eye.
