Okay...I have decided to fully embrace this project with open arms so I figure why not start a thread other members of the same project can post in here?
I think it might be fun!
I think for me this is going to be an awesome journey and I can't wait to see where it takes me!
Thanks EJC for the idea to start it and Raiven with that image of John that so inspired me!
Feel free to submit your picture and a blurb about any of your strangers in this thread!
For information on the project go here: 100 Strangers (http://www.100strangers.com/)

Here is my #1 stranger I took this morning Mike who is retired due to a disability. he supplements his income recycling bottles which also allows him to get out and go for a walk and some exercise. His girfriend is also a Professional Chef...like me!

This something well out of my comfort zone and therefore doesn't get a look in for me personally.
But it will be fascinating to see the people you meet and how you go about photographing them!

My 100 strangers will go much slower as it is very busy for me at this time of year. But I will work at it. :)

I've seen Lester around my neighborhood for several years but have never met him. He used to be the friendly security guard at the library across the street from my house and then at the local Safeway. We always made a point of saying hello to each other but had never actually met. I haven't seen him for a few years until today I saw him while out on a walk.

With 100 strangers in mind, I figured it was finally officially time for us to meet.. We talked for a few minutes about my neighborhood, and the changes happening in it. I told him he was always so polite and friendly and he was my favorite security guy. He's originally from Trinidad and Tobago.

This is going to be fascinating for you Casil. I wonder when you are finished if there is somewhere you can display all these and the stories together for your community. Mind you ... getting the releases might be a big job.

Well, you are impressing the h*ll out of me... this is not something that's really in my comfort zone either. You seem to be off to a great start. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am enjoying your results! Absolutely great stuff.

Fantastic Casil. I'm hardly comfortable taking portraits of people I know. These are fabulous.

I like this too - I will try to be on the lookout for some cool strangers.
