This is just outside the village of Cheticamp on Cape Breton Island. It's where you start (or end) the mountainous section of the Cabot Trail. It's unfortunate that the roads are so curved that you can't take your eyes off them for a second. It's a fabulous drive as the scenery is unreal. I have to oil my car door because I'm in and out a hundred times on the trip. Everyone should do the drive clockwise and then the next day do it in a counter clockwise direction to see it at its best.

Dirty looking beach that one is :) I can see the winding road going up the hill in the background. More nice scenery.

I just wish we had some of YOUR beaches from down under. We have a few nice beaches in the province once the ice clears off. The only good thing is that there's not much in the water here that wants to eat me . . :clap: I'll gladly winter in the land down under :D
And that little patch of road is a nice part. You want to see the switch backs on the other mountains. Low gear and good brakes are a must . . .
