Always google the story when you get a chain email. There are so many racist that like to start trouble. Last week I received one about the schools in the UK stopping teaching about the holocaust because Muslims found it offensive, here is the truth BBC NEWS | UK | Education | UK government acts on hoax e-mail (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/education/7226778.stm)

I keep getting emails like this and I now react by 'replying to all' the link to the truth. Many racists play on the people who are on the fence about a group of people and are easily pushed over the edge. Tolerance of other people is only possible through education.

End of rant.

Me too. Its so easy to search and find if something is a hoax or not. It drives me wild when friends and family who should know better forward this garbage to me.

I don't want to spoil your fun, but NEVER reply to those emails. They are only send out to harvest email adresses so some *** can send loads of spam to them. Best of all is to ignore and delete them...

Although I must admit it is shocking what people are willing to believe...

No these are the ones just sent by your contacts that think they have found something important, I know the ones that are mining for emails they tend not to be on controversial topics and tend to be on get rich quick schemes. I hardly see those anymore since my email tends to kill all of those.

Yep, same here. I only reply to try and educate my friends and family to check their facts before forwarding.

I see. Still, it's a good idea to remove all previous senders from the email. You never know where it might end up... ;)

I agree. It good email etiquette to forward email with all previous email addresses removed. I also prefer to use BCC unless all of the recipients know each other. Unfortunately its not something most people do. I often get email that has been forwarded 43 times with the actual content 3 pages down.
