This fella has moved into my hood! For those who've never heard the flicker call, it's ...Loud! I've heard him for days but today spotted him/her on a tree roughly sixty feet off my deck. I think they're beautiful, loud but striking just the same. This is roughly a 50% crop but you can see the noisy little bugger quite clearly. It never ceases to amaze me how many wild birds choose to call this urban neighborhood home:)

These are one of my fave birds... I've yet to get a good shot of them cuz they're quite shy!
You're right ML...they are quite noisy little buggers. :D
