OMG...LOL...so many of these have happened to me...especially the last one!
Enjoy! :D

Murphy's Laws of Photography by Darwin Wigget

When it comes to photography, there isn’t just one Murphy’s Law, there are dozens. Following, a sampling of some perverse natural laws that explain why everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Law of Telephotos: The slower the shutter speed, the stronger the wind.

Law of Gardening: Trees always grow best out of human heads.

Law of Lepidopteran Behaviour: Butterflies that sit still for hours can be made mobile by attempting photographic exposure.

Law of Flash Portraits: Preflash systems help eliminate redeye by stopping down the eyelids.

Law of Available Time: The less time available for a shot, the more time you need to setup equipment.

Law of Sunsets: The sunset is always most spectacular on your wedding anniversary. (In other words, forget it!)

Law of Acquisitiveness: The perceived usefulness of any piece of equipment is inversely proportional to its actual usefulness once bought.

Law of Expectations: Negative expectations yield negative results; positive expectations yield negative results.

Law of Injustice: Low-dispersion glass attracts flying projectiles. Franklin Mint products, however, last forever.

Law of Replacement: You never find a lost accessory . . . until you’ve replaced it.

ND filters always slip out of your hand so they roll off the path into the river. Happened this afternoon that's how I know that one.

So do lens hoods...I've lost 3...got one back, one is sitting at the bottom of the Calgary Weir, and the other one...who knows...probalby eloped with the $150 Ray Bans I lost this year as well. :wall-an: :wall-an:

How about:
The likelyhood of anything slipping out of one's hands is directly proportional to the type of environment they land on/in. :)

Yes I think Elbow Falls has a mass collection of camera stuff wouldn't surprize me to find out a lens or two is down there.
