The private banking institution known as "The Federal Reserve" that has operated in near total secrecy since 1913, is coming closer to an audit. Will it happen?

They will be, using an independent auditing firm operated by "The Federal Reserve"

Most people think that the federal reserve is a government bank.

The Fox guarding the chicken coop! The Fed Is private and has been since conception on Jekyll Island in 1913 shortly before the federal reserve act was passed through congress Christmas time of the same year when most of the senators were home with their families for the holidays. If the Fed gets to audit itself we will never be freemen...Ever!

I doubt it will happen,. Geithner and the gang who robbed the American taxpayers will not allow anything that is going to negatively affect Bernanke and his gaggle of fools over at the Fed to happen. The Americans have 15 TRILLION dollars to roll over in the next 3 years and no one wants any more bad press then they already have. Ron Paul and Friends are deluding themselves if they think they will actually get a bill passed to get it done. The American economy right now is too fragile to take the kind of publicity for enough votes in either the House or the Senate to pass this type of Bill. Shoot they have not even audited Fort Knox in over 50 years and that is the U.S. Bullion Depository, some think that it is really empty, I would not go that far but our $15 million missing in gold will be chump change should that get audited. Short answer no, but I could be wrong, if I were them I would not want to be audited either, but if I was a US taxpayer I would be screaming for it.

Notice it's only Canadians responding to this, we could start a good conspiracy theory about the IRS monitoring Americans that speak out

You wanna watch the Zeitgeist movie. The first part is about religion, part two is about 9/11 and part 3 is all about the Federal Reserve. Part 3 starts at 1:14. You may find it quite interesting.

Peter Schiff ponders if Ron Paul will actually have to vote against his own bill because it has been so watered down. Although I like how Peter Schiff thinks I am not always in agreement with him but even he hits the nail on the head sometimes.

I've seen it now. And I've done some research on it. The entire film just screamed "conspiracy theory" to me. And looking futher into it, not all the facts in the film are straight. And some are completely wrong. Don't forget, Americans love conspiracy theories... ;) So don't get all worked up by films like this. But it's good to stay very causious...

But some of the criticism seems to be true. I'm not going into details, because I only know a very small piece of the puzzle now. But more transparancy seems like a very good idea for the FED...

It will amount to as much as the SEC's audit of Madoff.

That's awesome you actually did the research 42. Can you point me to the point you believe are totally wrong? Not the religious stuff in the beginning I couldn't care if that's askew, but the other areas sure would be helpful in my quest for the truth :)
