we found this old, dead tree covered in life once more.
It was very dark in there but I like the way the old tree fades from view in the darkness ...

I just can't help but feel it needs something MA. I'll box up the Squirrel and fed ex him tomorrow :D

and a couple toadstools......

but it is a neat log and I can see why you took it. I once took close to 10 shots of a log. None of which I liked :headslap: but this one looks so soft with all the moss.

My memories of those mushrooms is when a mate died from an overdose from his 'tea' one morning. I knew him a short while really and it's a wonder he made it that far. I can proudly and somewhat naively say that I never took illicit drugs of any kind.

Nope. Aren't them. First of all, the real ones are found in the northern hemisphere. And they grow in grassy fields, not in the forest. I'm not going to guess which species is on the picture, but it's probably best not to eat them... ;)

Love the pictures though MA. You make some great nature shots! :)

We get those Gold Tops in the southern hemisphere as well ... in Aussie at least.
