Got this the other day during my foray to the Public Gardens which will be closing for the winter on Monday. :(

You've found some nice shots lately Iggy! They close the garden for the winter? Why? Does it become unusable? Or do people simply not use it in the winter?

Thanks, M.A. I'm working at it. :D

I think it's more of a liability issue. They don't want to have to keep the walkways safe for walking. Road salt and/or sand would be damaging to the gardens too. Gates will be locked on Monday and won't open again to the public until May. :(

Oh ok ... see I would never have thought about the walkways being slippery.

it wouldn't take you long to figure it out. ;)

I agree, Iggy this is a lovely shot.
And remember: there's always Point Pleasant Park.

Very nice Iggy...I broke a crown last year slipping on an icy sidewalk so I can relate...cost me $1300 to fix it..and my dental plan wouldn't cover it!
I should've sued Mike's neighbour! :headslap:

Fantastic IG. Great setup for some nice diffraction macro shots......althought if you have ever tried to do them they are pretty tough.

Thanks! I've seen some of those and thought about trying some but haven't taken the time to do so yet.
