In the image below the border is oval and done in LR. On my laptop it is displayed as a circle in LR and explorer. If the external monitor is connected to the laptop its an oval on the external monitor in LR and explorer.
If the monitor is connected it prints as an oval. Without the monitor it prints as a circle. I had walgreens do a cheap print and its an oval from the file.
Now the really wierd part if I disconnect the monitor and reboot its an oval on the laptop as long as I dont use LR and only view in explorer. If I start LR it goes round again.

Any clue whats happening??

I'm on a Mac, running Safari - it's an oval.
Have you verified that your monitor resolutions are set correctly?

I had that problem, not with LR though it turned out to be the driver for my graphics card which was a matrox. Can't remember all the details but I think it was driver related.

Are you using two different format monitors? 4:3 & 16:9? As Hodaka said, you could be running an odd resolution, but I figure your bird would look squashed too.

So it's only round when you use LR with the built-in monitor? What's LR anyway? It requires you to set resolution?

I use LR 2.5 and 3.0beta. I did figure it out. Just a wierd dell video driver. I updated the laptop video driver and all is good.

Thanks for the replys

There's a little chip in macs that vibrates at a certain frequency, it creates a tiny vibration that is addictive to the nervous system. Once hooked, the addict is instructed to preach the good word by another less known chip residing in the mouse sublimdiode4. There is no known cure!
