I don't get it... (http://cgi.ebay.com/Dongfeng-Chinas-Hasselblad-kit-with-two-lenses-and-Mag_W0QQitemZ370311746557QQcmdZViewItemQQptZFilm_C ameras?hash=item56384cd3fd)

A Chinese-made Hassy knock-off in, at best, mediocre condition (Note the leatherette on the magazines), one lens and three backs for US $22,000.00???? Can anyone explain this?

Maybe it's worth 22000 to pretend you're good?

</p>Incidentally, in around 1970, Mrs. Mao ordered the Shanghai Camera Factory (note: not "Shanghai Camera Company"--companies didn't exist in China during the Cultural Revolution) to make copies of her favourite camera, the Hasselblad 500. The factory dutifully churned out about 50 units, which were named Dongfeng ("East Wind") each came with three lenses: a normal 80mm f/2.8 (with an amazing maximum shutter speed of 1/1000th second on the lens shutter); a wide-angle 50mm f/4; and a telephoto 150mm f/4.

This is an passage from the following link and may explain the camera's checkered origin.

Very Interesting,

Hmmm... interesting. Assuming it's true, then I suppose it could be worth that to a dedicated collector. Thanks for posting.

Or it supposed to be in Hong Kong dollars. Price would be around us$2800 then, which sounds reasonable...
