A few of you may already be familiar with this popular flash animation series that had almost a cult following on the web. it has been around for about 7 years but is till appealing.

It is very well done with a sweet albeit bloody story. Every frame of the animation art is a lesson in good composition.

Enjoy!

I used to know one of the guys that started this and worked on it. He lived on the Gold Coast about 70 k's from where I am. He moved to Hawaii to study more in animation and sound so I have no idea whether he's still involved. Probably not ... think he moved on.

You'll waiting a long time for Episode 13 I'm afraid. When that guy I knew moved to Hawaii they seemed to stop making this series ...and that was years ago :headslap:

Well good luck with that. From memory they started another animated series and just seemed to lose interest in this one.

I actually started watching the series just before episodes 11 and 12 came out in 2005 I think it was. Can you imagine the excitement those last two episodes caused? Ninjai was a totally indy phenomena with a huge fan base that spread the word totally through the internet. When they hooked up with Atom Films was when they really became known amongst other animators and fans of the genre. They were basically stuntmen/ martial arts specialists in their 'day jobs'. Rumours of a Ninjai movie circulated as late as early last year and also Kama Kula was supposedly in the works but nothing seems to have come of it.

As it sits the 12 episodes tell a pretty good story in themselves but Ninjai and his little bird are so likable you want the story to never end. So I will sit here and wait for more Ninjai magic too. :)

Well I've been waiting for 5 years now!

I wish I could remember the dudes name I knew (obviously I didn't know him well) because he had some cool little movies he'd made. And you're right ... he was way into martial arts, among other things.

I just went searching for the website that the Aussie MTB'er I used to know who was working on the early Little Ninjai episodes had.

I finally remembered I'd saved some of the video's he'd made and that gave me the clue to finding his work again.

His username on my website was 'TheVish' and he called his vids 'The Vish Files' (TVF)

He's a talented guy ... as you'd see if you watched his vids. He rides a mountain bike very well ... boogie boards ... martial arts ... dances ... and is very creative with video as well. He's also good looking the girls tell me ;) Aussie hunk.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that he left Aussie years ago and moved to Oahu in Hawaii to further his video/movie career and I lost touch with him.

Anyhow ... I figured I'd provide a list of the vids I've seen of his and brief description in case anyone was interested and wanted to watch them. I prefer to download and watch in Windows Media Player rather than let the browser play it.

TVF 1 (http://www.thevishfiles.com/vish/TVF1.wmv) - filmed in Australia in the areas I ride also it's a bit raw but certainly amusing. Shows the sorts of dry Eucalyptus forest we most often ride in here.

TVF 2 (http://www.thevishfiles.com/vish/TVF2.wmv) - This chronicles TheVish's emigration to Hawaii. It starts the night before ... includes leaving the Gold Coast for Sydney ... then arriving in Oahu, Hawaii. A humorous clip!

TVF 3 (http://www.thevishfiles.com/vish/TVF3.wmv) - TheVish hits out on the trails of Oahu (small section of bad language) and then hits the surf for some styling boogie boarding and some aerobatics on the beach. Then off to a local skate park for some fun and a wild mtb wheelie through the streets.

TVF 4 (http://www.thevishfiles.com/vish/TVF4.wmv) - This one show cases the local North Shore Freeride guys.

TVF 5 - removed from the website. I'm guessing because TheVish forgot to set the white balance properly (or to auto) and it's very bright. Was still worth watching though. I may upload it somewhere but it's 43 mb!

TVF 6 (http://www.thevishfiles.com/vish/TVF6.wmv) - TheVish hits a Fairground for some action before changing the tune to another section of him Boogie Boarding with background music of a mate playing fluke and him playing guitar. From memory I think TheVish wrote this piece of music and Ethan was his Dad. Might be wrong but I think that's right. Then it's a mixture of street riding (some long wheelies) and cool helmet cam footage on Oahu's open red dirt trails.

TVF 7 (http://www.thevishfiles.com/vish/TVF7.wmv) - This one is a must see! This one starts out as a hugely creative video and the story of a deep, passionate love. Beautiful in the true Vish style. Then TheVish hits the streets with a body cam for some clowning around and sporting a new haircut. After that it's a rush of north shore, hucking, and jumps. The grand finale is a 'cracker' ;)

TVF 8 (http://www.thevishfiles.com/vish/TVF8.wmv) - This one starts off as a spinoff from his 'Little Ninjai' work with a story about an mtb warrior and a quest. After that it backflips into some more crazy stuff including some bike breaking jumps.
