View Full Version : First attempt at fireworks.

In Acapulco, at midnight, on Dec 31st the bay is the theater of a firework show... The busiest I've seen anywhere. It lasts for about 30 minutes but is very intense for a little more than 15 minutes with firing all over the bay area in a completely disordered/unsynchronised manner. All in all a Superb show. Here is a few shots I took. I have posted more than 150 of them on my web site : www.clementdupuis.com/photos/fireworks.

Here's a couple more. All these shots were taken from my condo... while celebrating.

Looks like you knew how to take photos of fireworks regardless of it being your first time :)

Looks great to me! Only thing I can say it to watch your building, keep them straight.

Thank you every one.
Kat. You're right about the buildings being a bit off. Thanks.
MA. It was my first try but I had read a lot about shooting fireworks and with the frequency of the launching it was a no brainer.
Bambi.. Well sure you can come and visit ! and the view is super here on 22nd floor. There are other condos available as well on 29th floor...
TT and Antz Thank you for your comments. When you hear the sounds and see all these fireworks it is indeed a super impressive show.

Fun shots for sure Zenon!! :highfive:
My faves are shots 1-2 in post 2 as the composition is better in those shots.

Kat is right, those sloping buildings are a distraction but easily fixed in PP.
Hope that helps - Marko

Thanks Marko. I've already learned lots on this site but still have a long way to go.
