Great capture although the bird's silhouette is more like a raven's then like what we think of as a magpie.

It is a magpie(black and white) with a beautiful song. Unlike the Crow, which I think is the same as a your raven.

we have both crows and ravens here. Ravens are larger then crows. Both are intelligent and very interesting birds. Both like to sit above your tent when you are camping and caw at 5 a.m. making you wish for a shot gun...
