The CR2 batteries used in the CTR-301P receivers last a long time if you remove them between uses but will drain if you don't. They are pretty expensive to replace when they die. Here is a simple DIY project to use cheaper and more common AA batteries. Please note I'm no electrical engineering genius so use it at your own risk. It's best viewed in the slide show mode.
