For those of you who enjoyed the "glove attack", here are a couple showing how quickly they have advanced in skills. Unlike the glove, these things fight back.
Sorry for the poor quality as it was getting dark out. I do promise to get some better ones in brighter conditions, its just that they were feelin' it, and I had my camera with me at the time.
P.S. No bison were harmed during this photo-shoot.

Fast as fast can be, you'll never get me!!!

I'm glad you added no Bison were harmed. If those were my Bison I wouldn't be too happy about dogs hassling them though.

Great quick shots. And seeing the first photo I would never worry about the bisons.:D

Thanks MoinMoin, and don't worry MA, they are my bison. This is just a little game they play quite regularly. The calf in picture is especially prone to chasing the dogs, and they chase back. If you look at mom in the first pic, you'll notice her calmly chewing on a mouthful of hay.
This breed of dog is a cattle dog, and they do it without training or coaxing of any kind. The bison don't get too excited as they are used to it. Believe me, an excited bison is the last thing we want around here, been there, done that, and it's not fun trying to get a loose bison, (or two), back in.

Cool ... I was thinking 'WHat the? You can't go letting your dogs go hassling wildlife or other peoples Bison like that surely?!!'

So why do you have Bison? Are they 'farmed' for the meat? Hides? Both? Make good fireside pets?

They are raised for the meat, and hide, but only for our own personal use, (we do not sell). Oh yeah, and the dogs get the bones/trimmed meat. The bull and cow are 5 yrs old now and this is their second calf. As for the fireside pets. Ain't nothing warmer than a buffalo robe while sitting around the fire on a chilly night.;)
We try to pretty much self-sustain ourselves with chicken, wild turkey, pheasant, pig, and bison, which we raise ourselves, and venison, which we hunt for.
If you take a look here, you'll see how good it really is for you.
