Been away a few days in the Okanagan and Spokane areas. Rained much of the time. But came back to lovely weather today. Read about your foot, Casil, and your wife's accident MA. Hope everyone is better. Also read the thread about the Olympics, etc. Ugly stuff. I think it's cool we keep on taking pictures and sharing them.
Anyway, caught this guy in the Weaselhead. There was a treeful of them. It's nearly a 100% crop. I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know what kind of bird it is.

That is a bohemian waxwing Mike....and a lovely capture of one I must say.
They look very much like cedar waxwings but they have a cinnamon coloured face. Nicely done! Thanks for the well wishes...my foot is better...especially after wine and advil! :party:
I guess I gotta get down to the Weaselhead one of these day and hunt for them.
Btw. a really great bird book is called "Birds of Alberta" by Chris Fisher...I use mine all the time!:)
