Today had me up and out at the crack of dawn. I took a taxi to the end of Vermillion lakes with the intent of hiking back into town and shooting along the way. I had a better idea of what I was looking for thanks to yesterday's photo tour. Here's what today brought me...will post in here as I go along. Probably one of the best days I've had in a long time. :)
Started at this end...

I liked this log in the lake.

Found some foot prints...I think they are Raven's feet.

Then I came to this dock...one of 2 docks I shot this morning...I loved the frost and the morning light on it...took a ton of shots from several angles.

Well worth the early start, the light on the water in shot one is really good.

Awesome shot Casil. This last one is almost "out of worldy" for some reason, especially if you crop out the dock.

Thank you AntZ. :)
So continuing on my hike back to town, I stopped again at the beaver pond and decided to do some shooting there....what a fun place to explore!

This last one was beyond the pond and onto the lake...unfortunately, Mt. Rundle (to the right of the shot) was a bit shy and chose to hide in the clouds this morning:

The beaver pond photos are entrancing. Like I could get lost in them. Great vision.

Bambi all in all yesterday I probably walked about 15 Km...I walked form the end of Vermillion lakes to downtown..about 8 km I'm guessing, and then headed up to the Banff cemetery and did some shooting there...walked back to the hotel and then back to downtown for dinner later on. My dogs are a bit tired but it was a super great day...:highfive:. Thanks for all the nice comments everyone also...glad you enjoyed my journey as much as I did....was fun to share it. :)
This morning am going for breakfast on Tunnel Mountain then walk around in search of more photos and then head home. Was a great little holiday!

So today was my last day here. Now I am back in Calgary, but this morning I went up Tunnel Mountain to take shots. After having breakfast at Cougar Pete's at the hostel, i asked the front desk folks where would be a good place to go Shooting..........lol.....;)......Photo's I explained after they gave me a bit of a weird look! They said head to the Hoodoos so off I went. Got a few morning shots of different things before I got there. Saw a herd of about 50 elk cross about 20m in front of me (I stayed well back as these guys can get quite cranky sometimes). a very curious little squirrel who kept checking me out, and 2 or 3 coyotes strolling along with me...headed into the elks direction....was another great day. It was super icy and being alone and in the morning, thus I did not get down to the hoodoos via the steep trail.
LOL...I think I managed to walk about 30km in 3 days!
