Hello,
what do you think of these Dereliction shots..
Would love to receive some of your thoughts.

The 2nd shot appeals to me most. I like the way it shows a derelict building through a derelict window and the way the weeds are taking over.
I'll leave critique to others on this though as I'm not drawn to this sort of genre myself much.

It's really hard to critique more than one at a time so I'll stick to #2 which is also my favourite. I too like the composition with the run down building visible through the window of a run down building.
I don't like the closer wall looking blurry. Not sure what's caused that. I'm guessing a slow shutter speed with a hand-held shot? Doesn't seem to be a DOF thing. In either event I would prefer to have seen it sharp all the way through. A different time of day may have prevented the blown highlights in the sky too.
And last but not least, welcome to the forum! I don't believe I've extended that to you yet.

Thankyou MA for taking the time to look at my images and remarking on them.
Hope to have you critique my future work.

Thankyou Iguanasan for welcoming me and for your critique.
Yes the "threw the doorway" shot was taken handheld with a slow shutter speed! I was in a rush and dodging showers. you are right about the blown out part, I shall soon go back and re-take the shot using a tripod and hopefully the sky to the rear will be a bit better.

I like the 2nd one also but the lack of sharpness and as Iggy stated the blow outs at the tip are throwing me...I think it has awesome potential!
Out of these, my fave is #3 because I like the colours here, the angles and I think you did pretty well in what I'm sure was a bit of tough lighting from the looks of it. The blue tone works for me also.
In #1 the lack of sharpness and composition here just aren't working for me here...sorry.
Just thowing in my $.02...other opinions may vary.:)
