I'm off to the seashore again today. It's almost the only place that offers anything worthy of study this time of year (mud season). These are from my last trip out there - a lovely little salt marsh at Ordione Point. I used my manual Olympus 65-200 zoom just to see what I could do with it.

I shot wide open at f4 or a stop or two down to isolate individuals and accentuate the peace of the location. The tide was coming in and I could hear waves behind me as I shot. I like the organization of this one and that little strip of the far bank at the top.

I found a little parting in the rushes and thought that a b&w conversion would work. I think it does.

Overwintered cattails always look a bit pathetic to me even though they have those wicked looking points. Thanks for checking it out.

Shot 1 is working for me big time here and is my fave of the set.

Yeah, number one is my favourite too. I like these. I've tried the bullrushes/pussywillows shots but haven't found one that I've liked. I like these. Nice captures.

Love the first with the selective focus and the white on the top.
