I have 2 themes for podcast suggestions:

1) I'd like to shoot panoramas therefore I'd like to know more about equipment used for panos and best ways to shoot panoramas. Also, HDR panos would be interesting to do as well.

2) My brother is having a baby in a few weeks. I'd like to have some advice on taking pictures of newborn babies. They usually can't support themselves, so someone has to hold them. What are the best ways to position babies to take great pictures. I'd like to make a portfolio for the parents to honor the blessing of their first child.

If they can't be done as podcasts, I wouldn't mind getting some advice on the topics.
Thanks.

I have more suggestions. I would like to know more about the zone system. I think this topic is the key to proper metering in order to get good exposures.

There's a lot here de3montecarlo but i can try my best.

In terms of the Zone system I don't think it really applies (except for the concept of getting a great tonal range) practically to digital photography. The zone system which I did use regularly when i shot film is a way to get a great tonal range through exposure and devolopment of negative film. I therefore do NOT think it's the key. IMO the key is understanding the limits of the range of light that your digital camera can handle/capture/reproduce using its sensor. It is LESS than conventional film cameras. It is far closer to what slide film could handle....maybe there's a podcast in that concept. But a podcast on the zone system itself would be like a podcast on morse code since it's a 'system' that likely 99% of people don't use anymore. :twocents:

I'm likely to try the podcast on newborn babies pretty quickly - so thanks for the suggestions. :highfive:

I was also wondering whenever you do a podcast on shooting baby pics, if you can give some ideas about birth announcement pics too.
