Nice. We had a G SHepherd when I was a kid. She was an ex-police trainee that failed the gun test. Gun shy ... and Storm shy. Great guard dog though!

Thanks guys :)

MA-I hear ya, this girl is waaaaaaaay to smart for her own good. She probably should have been a police dog. She can scale a 6ft fence no problem, found that out the hard way.:headslap:

In this pic she is staring down a snowball that had in my hand ready to throw....

Has she ever returned, after barking you awake as she tore off down the driveway, with a strip of someone's pants in her mouth? :) Ours did. The cops (who Dad knew so they got there fast) said their own dog traced the prowler to a house not 500m away where a very sweaty fella answered the door in his pyjama's. Not many sweat in bed in a NZ winter ;)
We still laugh about that.

We knew when storms were coming too ... Tinker (her name) would be under the kitchen table about an hour before the storm would arrive and refuse to come out. I was only about 10 years old but it was funny stuff. I'd grab her by the front paws and pull her out from under the table while her back legs were back-pedalling at a high rate of knots! The moment I let go it was like she was on elastic and she'd snap right back into position under the table. When the storm hit I used to crawl under there with her for awhile to comfort her ... in between watching the lightning myself. Always been a storm watcher. ;)

Can you tell my bike ride this morning was washed out yet again?? It's been over a week now since I've ridden and I'm going start raving mad here!! I'll go steal someones cat soon and start acting like Michaelaw any moment I'm sure! :wall-an:
