I thought I posted this already. This photo was is out of camera photo, I did nothing after the photo but resize and cheapen it out for the web. It was a bright sunny warm day in Southern Ontario just the days I hate to take photos but had the urge so off I went. SO I brought various filters and other aids, then played with the setting and I got this. I have other that are similar but these were all trial and error. So some I am happy with others ahhh. Anyway hate or love it let me know. This is as I said is experimental for now, so many misses with a few hits I am happy with.

PS: If it looks to dark it is just the make or the model of it. I looked at in the 7 monitors in my house and two looked way too dark on the rest looked like it should.

P.S.S. Ok got my two photos in to meet my semi annual photos after all it is a photo forum, and whom an I not to a least put up a photo eh? know it is a photography forum after all :laughing::clown:

It looks good Acadie. I keep the brightness turned down on my computer and the photo is dark yes, but the lower sky provides a nice back ground for all that industrial looking stuff and the darkness of the upper sky is a nice frame. Love the dark bronzy sort of tones with just a hint of coppery red here and there .

It looks good to me AL. The light and colour really seem to fit the subject.

Great to see another of you images, it seems like a while..keep em coming.

Seems my reference to the cracker stacks fell on deaf ears! The light levels I have found a problem. Yours looks great on my monitor.

I have done images for college and when printed they were nothing like what they looked like on monitor. Yes I know there is a calibration but main point is how they are intended to be displayed. If it displays as wanted with the medium selected then rest does not matter.

Anything I like I print. This is not being printed I have a far better version of it that I will be printing and if it is on the internet I no longer print those either , just a quirk amongst my many. Anything I do is just incase I like it then I Have to print it.

That is really excellent. All you need now is a flying pig.

Oh too bad I did one but deleted it, see if I have time if I can add one. I could not use it since it was the Pig from Floyds Animals. Looked good though, was my first thought when I saw it, then I added a pig for his short life.

I really like this AL. I like the darkness-it adds to the mood of the photo. I love the sky and the stacks. I am often fascinated with our industrial plants like this one. They remind me of castles and fortresses.

As an industrial side of town photo junkie I really quite like this also.
Lovin' the tones and the overall mood. Nice to see some of your work...I hope you keep posting. :)

Ditto ... this is really good. Love the heavy, suppressive feel here!

Not sure about the tight crop at the bottom but perhaps you needed that to exclude something?

Nice work A.L.

I think this deserved the nomination it got in the Member Choice!
