If your religious you may find this horribly offensive, it is funny as sh**, Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies knock this one out of the park. More for my fellow atheist travelers, but others may see the humour. Some language for some reason may offend. Fu** it watch it anyway eh, lol.

I can be fairly fussy when it comes to comedians but there's a couple stand outs for me ... Billy Connolly (of course), and Ross Noble.

And now I have to add Jim Jefferies to the list. Never heard of this guy A.L ... thank you for sharing ... that was seriously funny!!!

Yea I am very odd when it comes to comedians, some are just funny but most are not. Ricky Gervais I must admit love his stand up bits, the rest of his work not so much. Billy Connolly is one of the few stand ups I ever bothered to see live.

Yeh I know what you are saying. I looked at more of Jim's work and found I had to kind of pick through to find stuff I found funny.

I prefer comedians that don't have to use foul language and crude subject matter to get a laugh. Not that I don't use crude language myself, and find foul language perfect for many situations in comedy as well.

Billy, for instance does swear plenty, but it's just him. He doesn't do that for laughs, his subject matter (widely varied and often tailored to the audience he's in front of) gets the laughs.

As an example ... back in the 80's we had two comedians over here that were very popular. Rodney Rude and Kevin Bloody Wilson.
Rodney formed his shows around constant swearing and the crudest of subject matter. Real bar room comedy I suppose so it appealed to the large 'bogan' attitude prevalent in Aussie.

Kevin was, in my opinion, much more clever. He still swore a lot and used crude subject matter but delivered it in song. Funny guy!

But this is one of his best and funniest ... I can't tell you the title because it's very rude like the language in it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBq5Qo2QhTI)

Also ... if you haven't discovered Ross Noble then check this out ... Australian Wildlife (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4o9JKPCQ_M) it starts a tad slow but man he gets into it :)

If you liked Kevin Bloody Wilson you might like Rodney Carrington too Dear Penis (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIqttbRlJUQ)

Thanks over the next day or two I will have a look at them. I grew up on Monty Python, George Carlin and a huge Lenny Bruce Fan who was foul vulgar and socially on the money with his humour. More someone who likes dry black humour for the most part.
