are those birds cloned in? many of them seem identical. It's a very intriguing image though and I'm impressed with your execution....I am such a long way from being able to do this, much less envision it that it's laughable. The feel I get from this is hopeful lonliness.

I like the scene with just the lone tree and the neat colours. I think it would totally work as a stand alone just as much as with the birds.
Was that what you meant JJ? Not sure.
Jimmy...you are just too cool!

I love this one Jimmy, the only thing that throws me off for some reason is the light colored birds in the foreground but the concept and treatment is wonderful...Nice work

Hey Wicked. The birds are pigeons I captured flying over Petrolia Ont. I made them into a "Bird Brush" so I can just add them to any photo. I can re size them, change their colour, reverse their direction etc.
"I am such a long way from being able to do this, much less envision it that it's laughable. The feel I get from this is hopeful loneliness." Wicked, if I can do this ,you can do this. I am by far NOT the sharpest lens in the bag! Just Google basic Photoshop tutorials. Something for beginners and just do it. I am 60 years old, just learned how to turn on our computer 5 yrs ago and like my wife says an idiot. So there is hope for you :). Don't give up before you start. My Photoshop skills are near zero. Anything I do that turns out usually is an ACCIDENT and that is the truth! If you like I can give you basic instructions on adding and blending a texture photo to another photo. I would be glad to help - jimmy :)

Jimmy in no way should you put your skills down. You are an artist at this and deserve the credit.

Hey Michael. I made the birds in the foreground light and the birds in the distance dark to add interest and make them stand out from the background. This is a surreal image. Just a fun experiment  It beats watching tv  jimmy :)

Casil, I agree and like the scene without the birds. Then again, its just a thought since I have never looked at this image any other way than it is now. It is still nice, regardless if you like the birds or not.

And JJJ, I agree with you. I spend hours in front of my computer going through images and taking pictures the same. MUCH better than watching TV. Keep it up.

Cool image jimmy. Not keen on the light colored birds but I like the dark ones. I see though where you might have wanted to put interest on the left side of the image. Then again I like clean minimalist compositions. Hmmm but I also like cluttered spaces filles up with lots of interesting things. So anyway love the colors and the composition of the image and the cluttered and simple that is all here. :)

Wow, that's quite an image. Love the warm tones and rich texture. Reminds me of grainy black and white prints. The light coloured birds are little distracting, but everything else is great.

Hey thanks formerly raiven. Actually I am not all that thrilled with the light coloured flock but it was impossible to go back and darken it! Hey thanks again for all your kind comments :). Much appreciated - jimmy :)
