Not sure if anyone here besides me does this. It was one of the first things I did when I restarted doing photography. I belong to two different Urban Exploring Groups in Toronto but most of the times I go with just me and one other person. I just think this is a very important story of the real life dangers of this hobby and knowing what your doing and safety is and must be a top priority. I do not believe it is for everyone and I am a bit old to be doing it but at the rate they are demolishing the city it is also a way to catalogue our past. I don't promote others doing it, it is very risky and after this weekends tragic death of one of the members of a group I belong to it highlights this point. I do not know the person who died in this tragic accident but it is still an unfortunate event. Not going to argue the merits of this hobby but just a warning to those who might be thinking of it or who do it and don't take it seriously.

I did something similar to that at age 11, going through partially completed new buildings collecting bottles left by workers to get the deposit. Made my first $100 that way, which was a lot of money for a kid, back then.
