Hi nikon shooters,

I realize if i buy a Nikon lens in US that I cannot get it repaired in canada under warranty and vice versa.

BUT - If I buy a lens while in the US, can I still send it to the USA and get it repaired there under warranty even though I live in Canada?

I would guess the answer is yes but I'd like to be real sure just in case I ever have the opportunity.
thx - Marko

that's an excellent question. I would send an e-mail to Nikon directly and ask them.

If I were you, I'd buy it in Canada. Warrenty on SLR lenses is 5 years in Canada as opposed to only 1 year in the US. Here's a link explaning all the warrenty rules per brand....

Yup Canada destroys the USA LOL.... in terms of Nikon lens warranties....and normally I like to buy Canadian first....I was just curious if anyone knew the answer anyway.

AFAIK you can send it into Nikon USA and they should be okay with that. Pardon my nosey nature, but I hope it's not your D700 that needs work?

nope - just a general question.
Aside from it hurting my hand:laughing: , I'm loving the D700 which I bought in Canada.
