Lovely capture! Were you set up in the water to photograph this? Actually would you mind describing the technical information for this photo, BF? Ha! Ha! A la Joe McNally! If you don't mind?

It is a nice shot.

Is that orange the natural colour though BF? It looks like you channel mixed it or something.

I know it probably ticks some of you guys off that I’ve become somewhat of a “drive-by” poster, but I’ve been working 84 hour weeks, for the most part, since November of last year and that leaves little time to shoot or enjoy the efforts of others that have the time to get out. I check in here almost daily, but fail to comment on any of the wonderful images I see posted just because I’m a little to worn out to compose an intelligent thought.
This job I’m on now near Wilmington, NC has offered me a few chances to get in some time with my camera and that’s where the pier shots came from. I’ve never liked editing with a laptop, but I got a new one with a quad core processor the other day so it won’t be as time consuming from now on.

Anyway, thanks for the comments. And yes, it was run through the shallow end of Nik’s Color Efex’s graduated filters set to get the sky. I wasn’t actually set up in the water, but I got as close as comfortable to what looked like was was the highest wave that had come through in the previous 15 or 20 minutes shooting with a 18-55 mm at 24mm. ISO was at 100 with a shutter speed of just over a second

Never bothered me because you've made a big effort to be pro-active here in the past (when time was more prevalent obviously) and I know life can take over our fun time sometimes.
Forums are like that man ... many people are not going to be here long ... a few post, a few months perhaps, some will hang for years. Some will be highly active, some will be more the quieter type, then things will change and some people will swap roles as their life cycle around. It's how it is in forums.
