nice subject matter for sure. I'd like to see a bit more tonal range in this and less of the wire. maybe a tad cropped would help keep my eyes on the focused bits - or even a longer focal area to help with that. The angle is terrific with what I guess is a bit of fence rail.

How close did you need to get to take the shot? Also did you crop much?

You were already using f6.3 and zoomed at 70mm. I'm guessing 70mm is zoomed in on this lens? I say that because the photo appears that way to me with the aggressive, short depth of field. Going to a wider aperture of around f11 - f16 might have opened the DOF up a little but I'm not sure if it would be enough to make a difference.
Zooming back and stepping forward (if that was an option) would likely produce more DOF more effectively.

On the other hand though, if the single Barb was the subject then a short DOF is fine too.

I like the short depth of field, and second on the tonal range, however imho i would've brought the focal point a little further down. Just my taste. Looks great though.

I use Mozilla Firefox and it has a plugin that allows me to right click an image and IF someone saved the photo with the EXIF in tact (doesn't work on HDR merged photos) it will show me what I copied and pasted above.

Another way, if the photo has been placed in an online album such as Flickr, is to copy the url of the photo after checking the properties via right click again, and then look at the data in the album. In Flickr you see a link called 'More Properties' and it gives you loads of info :)

:) Sometimes I can tell what 'range' or combination of settings someone might have used ... but I certainly aren't a human exif data medium! :)
