Hi all - as a newbie to the forum I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts on the below. Took a series of similar styled photos recently in various locations in NYC. Thanks in advance for any thoughts and comments.

I like the style of this image. the motion blur on the cabs is great. I like the way you have poped the yellow colour.
well done.

I love the selected colouring on this image.
the only thing IMHO is the yellow line on the far left near the curb? its on the right hand side but not the left.
Maybe... if it was on the left too it would bring your eye to the centre of the image.
just a thought.
Anyway.... great shot!

This is a VERY interesting image to my eye, well done!
The main thing that catches (disturbs :evil2: ) my eye. ...I'm not crazy about the selective green colouring of the lights at the top of the image. That's not working for me especially because you did not colour in those same lights on the decline in the background. Given that the cabs, the road line and the lights on top of the buildings are all coloured and relate to "transport" colouring half the bridgelights doesn't make visual sense to me. I'd uncolour them...but that's just me. Hope that helps - Marko

Great Image Miker, I agree with Craig, adding a mask to bring the yellow line out on the left hand side would help balance this super image.

LOve it. Very cool shot and well processed. I'm good as it is ... but also think the advice given by those above is well worth trying.

Hi all - thanks a lot for the ideas and comments. I will definitely try to balance it out with the second yellow line. As for the bridge lights, they are also the same color on the back part of the bridge but I agree that it almost doesn't show (especially at this size) so I'll see how it looks without as well.

Here is another one from the same "series". Any recommendations are much appreciated. Here I wanted to keep a few more lightsources in color as I wanted them to pop in the reflection - hopefully without making it too messy?

Wow - the treatment with CK is really well chosen here. The first one is good - but the second is great, because of the reflection.

Thanks MoinMoin and Bandit. :-) Just got lucky that it had rained like crazy the day before and this big poddle was left in an empty parking lot.
