I previously posted a couple of shots from NYC (thread (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/f2/new-york-city-8302.html)) but kept working on some other shots and would love to hear your C&C. This one I am not sure if works with the red wall in front  Any thoughts/suggestions?

First off, I like the shot. It feels like NY to me.
In terms of critiquing, the colouring here to my eye only partially works. The colouring on the parking sign and wall are distractions for me. I'd nix them. Because they are the largest coloured areas, they draw your eye in and become focal points...but why make us focus on them? imho they just aren't that interesting in and of themselves. They are only part of what is making up the interesting scene
sooo...if this were mine I'd keep it B/W all the way OR just keep the taxi and headlights coloured .
Hope that helps - Marko

I have to agree with Marko on this one. I'd ditch the wall and sign colouring but leave everything auto related that you have there. The taxi, the tail lights and the traffic stop light. It's creates a definite theme to your colour then.

Not to be a parrot but i have to agree. All black and white or just the Taxi.
I think the mood of all black and white would work.

Thanks a lot for the input Marko, MM, and Scorpio_e. I do agree that the focus is too much on the colors so here is the reworked version. Appreciate the comments!
