First attempt at selective colouring

Well since Iggy threw out the challenge of only shoot with the 50 here is my first attempt at selective colouring using the 50 mm at f8

That sure makes the blue pop here ed. I like it. :)

That was my intent, de-saturate everything else and make the blue leap off the image. Glad you like it.

Love the selective colouring and the detail looks wonderful! Very well done. :thumbup::thumbup: I expect you are loving that 50mm. Hope you don't mind me saying that I'm not crazy about the composition though.

Thanks Iggy - and yes I am very pleased with the 50mm f1.8, especially since I got it for $140.

As to the comp- I was not thrilled either, when I saw the blue flowers isolated with the other dark elements I felt it would make a good first attempt at the process - no insult taken from your comment.
